My name is Lyndsey Anderson and I am currently attending The University of Akron. I was born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio just outside of Akron but intend to be adventurous and go wherever life may take me. I am in my third year of studying Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Intervention Specialist. This is a duel major at the university which means almost double the work but I enjoy every second of it and know that it will be more than worth it in the end.
Currently I am working at a day care in the Natatorium that is located in Cuyahoga Falls and manage another day care that is located in Akron. I've always grown up knowing that I wanted to work with children and to be working with them now before getting into my career is a real blessing. In my free time, I enjoy going on hikes with my dog, Konan, girl talk with my girl friends, binge watching Netflix, traveling, and so much more.
For my future goals as a teacher, I hope to aspire my students to want to learn, experiment, experience, and share ideas effectively. I want my students to be able to walk away from class each and every day with a new thought or idea that makes them wanting to learn more. I also hope to be a very hands on teacher and let my young students be able to learn through play and experimentation with their peers and on their own. My main goal however is that my students are having fun and are enjoying their time of learning.
